eataldesco.co.uk is the on-line store owned and operated by Al Desco Foods Limited
Access to the eataldesco site is subject to registration and the following terms and conditions. These terms and conditions will come into effect when you register with us.
1. Registration
1.1 You are registering as a company user of eataldesco.co.uk. Access is via your username and password, which is personal to you.
You must therefore not allow your user name and password to be used by anyone else, and must not permit or assist anyone who is not a registered user to gain access to any part of eataldesco.co.uk.
You must also immediately notify us if a third party obtains your user name and/or password or email address by emailing us via info@eataldesco.co.uk
1.2 We are GDPR compliant. Please note that by registering, you are allowing us to hold personal data that you provide to us, for the legitimate reason of being able to supply goods to you and/or members of the organisation you work for. We will hold information for the duration of the time we supply goods to you and/or members of the organisation you work for. We may ocassionally send promotional or marketing emails/newsletters. You can update your preferences at any time by emailing us at info@eataldesco.co.uk
2. Making a purchase
2.1 To make a purchase, log into eataldesco.co.uk with your username and password and click on any items that you wish to add to your order. After you have finished your selection, please click on ‘Checkout’ and you will be asked for a few details.
2.2 There is a daily cut-off time of 5pm for next day orders. No on the day orders can be accepted through the website, however should you have a last minute request, you can email us on: orders@eataldesco.co.uk and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
Any cancellations or amendments must be made by e-mailing us on: orders@eataldesco.co.uk or alternatively you can call us on 0203 142 6870 and speak to a member of the team. An order will only be deemed cancelled, when an email has been sent out by an Al Desco team member confirming the cancellation.
Al Desco prepares everything fresh every day, so if you want to cancel or amend an advanced order, this must be done by 5pm on the day before the order is due for delivery. Where you have a Monday delivery then the cut off is Friday by 5pm (as we're closed over the weekend)
We do not accept same day cancellations. Should you have any additions on the day, then please contact us immediately and we’ll do our best to include it with your delivery.
If you have paid by credit or debit card, a fee may be applied for refunding your card in the event of cancellation.
Alternatively, a voucher to the same value as your order will be issued for future use on eataldesco.co.uk
2.3 If you are placing an order on the same day, there may be some products which are not
available at short notice. You will be notified by a member of the team after you have placed the order and we’ll be happy to offer a suitable/appropriate alternative.
2.4 Any order you make for products on eataldesco.co.uk is an offer by you to purchase such products (subject to these terms and conditions) and acceptance of any order is at eataldesco.co.uk ‘s sole discretion. An order is deemed to have been accepted by eataldesco.co.uk when we receive an email confirmation to this effect.
Once we have accepted your order, there may be occasions where, for quality or seasonality reasons, or for other reasons beyond our control, it will not be possible to complete your order in full. In such cases, we will contact you and ask you to amend your order.
3. Price and Payment
3.1 The price will be as set out in eataldesco.co.uk published price list (shown on the eataldesco.co.uk website), current at the date of order of the products. All published prices exclude VAT.
VAT will be added to all online orders and shown clearly before completing your order.
3.2 Price and availability information is subject to change without notice. We accept payment online by most leading credit and debit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Amex and Delta.
Payment will be charged against your card at the time of order. Contactless payments are accepted for customers coming to collect orders.
3.3 If your company has entered into an agreement with Al Desco to the effect that it will pay for your order then we will arrange payment directly with your company.
3.4 For Credit Accounts, please retain your order confirmation as the order reference number will be used along with any other internal PO/Ref to add to your invoice.
Invoices are generally sent on a Friday and where we don’t have an account contact, we will forward it to the person who placed the order and request them to forward the invoice to the appropriate internal department for payment.
3.5 Customers can request a monthly statement, showing all orders placed and any outstanding sums due to Al Desco. Statements are payable in full within 28 days of receiving your invoice.
3.6 Al Desco reserves the right in its sole discretion to accept or refuse any credit account application and to terminate any such account at any time and need not give any reason for any such decision.
4. Delivery
4.1 Products will be delivered to the collection point nominated by yourself at the time of making the order. Customers may change their nominated collection point when placing an order.
4.2 All deliveries must be checked and signed for by an approved representative of the customer at the time of delivery. Signature will be deemed to constitute acceptance of delivery of a complete order. If you are coming to collect the order, a member of the team can check the order with you before you leave.
4.3 If any part of an order is found to be missing (or is rejected) on delivery, the customer must inform Al Desco immediately by e-mailing us. The details will be found on your delivery note or order confirmation. If it is urgent, please also call Al Desco to let us know of the issue.
4.4 Out of hours deliveries (after 3pm Mon-Fri) and Weekends will include a minimum delivery charge of £7.50 (excl vat) . If you are looking to place an order for these times, then please get in touch with us, to see if we can help with your request.
4.5 Delivery slots are as follows: Breakfast; 7.30-8am, 8-8.30am and 8.30- 9am and Lunch; 10-11am; 11-11.45am; 11.45-12.30pm. If you are looking for any slots outside of these delivery windows, then please email orders@eataldesco.co.uk to to see if we can accommodate your request.
4.6 If you are ordering lunch items and selecting our breakfast time slots, then we may not be able to accommodate your request. Please email us before placing your order. Receiving confirmation will not guarantee that you will receive your lunch during a breakfast delivery slot. Our policy is to move your order to the first available lunch slot.
5. Terms of Supply
5.1 Al Desco food is supplied strictly for direct customer use. Under no circumstances is our food to be re-sold to a third party or offered at subsidised or inflated rates to a third party.
This restriction also applies to in-house catering arrangements where Contract Caterers are ordering on behalf of clients.
5.2 Customers will comply with any instructions and recommendations of Al Desco in relation to the storage and use of the products (for example and without limitation, use by dates).
All food should be eaten on the day of delivery and should not be kept for consumption on another day.
6. Liability
6.1 The liability of Al Desco in contract, tort (including, without limitation, negligence) or otherwise in respect of any products delivered or otherwise in connection with an order or for any loss, injury or damage attributable directly or indirectly there to will at the sole option of Al Desco, be limited to:
(a) delivering replacement products (at Al Desco’s expense); or
(b) refunding any sums paid to Al Desco for the products.
6.2 Al Desco will not be liable (whether or not caused by Al Desco's negligence) for any loss of profit or goodwill or opportunity or reputation suffered or incurred by or any third party, nor for any indirect or consequential loss.
6.3 Al Desco will not be liable for any loss, injury or damage attributable directly or indirectly to any use of or inability to use the eataldesco.co.uk website by you including (but not by way of limitation) any inaccessibility or malfunctioning of the website or any viruses passed to your computer from eataldesco.co.uk website.
6.4 Nothing in these terms will limit or exclude the liability of Al Desco for death or personal injury caused by negligence on its part and nothing in these terms will affect your statutory rights.
7. Termination
7.1 You can withdraw your registration by emailing Al Desco at info@eataldesco.co.uk
7.2 We reserve the right to terminate your access to eataldesco.co.uk immediately without
notifying you in advance should you not operate your account in line with these terms and conditions.
8. Use of material appearing on the eataldesco.co.uk site
All rights in the site design, computer codes, text, graphics and other content, interfaces, and the selection and arrangements thereof (the "Materials") belong to Al Desco or its licensors.
You may print or download portions of this site and make copies of these for your own personal use only.
Any other use (including without limitation any further reproduction, storage or transmission to anyone) of any Materials without our prior written permission is strictly prohibited.

10. Variation
10.1 Al Desco reserves the right to amend the terms of this Agreement from time to time.
Your continued use of any part of the eataldesco.co.uk site after any such amendment will constitute your acceptance of the amendment or amendments concerned. You should therefore regularly visit these terms and conditions to ensure that you keep up to date with your rights and obligations under this Agreement.
If any such amendments are considered in the reasonable opinion of Al Desco to be material, notice of the amendments will be emailed to all registered users of eataldesco.co.uk at their registered email address.
10.2 If you do not wish to accept an amendment you should immediately withdraw your registration to the eataldesco.co.uk site.
11. Access/Force Majeure
11.1 Although we will aim to provide uninterrupted access to the eataldesco.co.uk site, we cannot guarantee this. We accept no responsibility or liability for any interruption or delay which may occur to anyone visiting or wishing to visit the eataldesco.co.uk site.
11.2 In the event we cannot fulfil obligations to you under this agreement due to any event beyond our reasonable control, we will notify you and we will be relieved of our obligations to you under these terms and conditions to the extent such performance is hindered by such an event.
12. Jurisdiction
This Agreement is governed by English law and both we and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
13. Allergy Warning
Al Desco products may contain traces of nuts. If you suffer from an allergy to nuts (or any other allergy) or you are ordering for someone who suffers from an allergy to nuts (or any other allergy) Al Desco recommends that you consult a doctor before placing your order.
