Dan de Jesus (yes that's really his name) and Hugo Nisbett (dull surname in comparison) set up al desco in April 2009 after realising they were much better at making sandwiches than advertising or PR.

We provide fresh and yummy breakfasts and lunches using carefully sourced produce.

Being Green is at the heart of the business. Our sandwich platters are biodegradable and are delivered to central London by British bicycles and trailers. We recycle everything possible and at the end of every day the chickens, pigs, guinea pigs and llamas at Vauxhall City Farm enjoy our unused crusts and leftovers.
